When I was younger the first thing I learned how to bake was chocolate chip cookies. So of course this was a recipe that I NEEDED to ”veganize”! I had so many of you DM me for this recipe after I posted in my stories the other day so here it is! This recipe is super simple and will take you back to your childhood.

Ooey Goey Chewy Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients: 2 1/4 cups unbleached all purpose flour 1/2 tsp sea salt 1 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 cup vegan butter 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce 3/4 cup organic cane sugar 3/4 cup organic brown cane sugar 1 cup vegan butter (I used Earth Balance) at room temperature 12oz package your favorite dairy free semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, sea salt and baking soda, set aside.
In a large bowl cream together the butter, sugars and vanilla.
Next mix in the apple sauce.
Slowly mix in the flour. Once the flour is completely mixed in fold in the chocolate chips.
Using a mini ice cream scoop or teaspoon scoop out dough and place 1 1/2 - 2 inches away on baking sheet.

Bake for 7-9 minutes or until lightly golden (remember they will continue to cook for a minute or two when you take them out so be careful not to over bake then your cookie will not be chewy).I hope you love them as much as I do!

XO,
Kathleen
