Not all who wander are lost

Why as a society do we place so much pressure on needing to have everything figured out with our lives and even ourselves; and that if we don’t we’ve failed as humans? I’ll tell you why I have such a problem with that way of thinking. It’s because I don’t believe we ever truly stop figuring out who we are and what we want out of life. I’m not the same person I was a month, a year or even a decade ago. What I want out of life now isn’t the same as what I wanted in the past. I’m always trying to grow and the more I wander the more I evolve. I’m not lost. I don’t want you to beat yourself up if you don’t have everything figured out. Most importantly I want you to stop comparing yourselves to those you feel do have it all figured out. I really don’t think there is any one person who truly has life figured out. Now, I’m not talking about feeling content because you can feel that way while still wanting and seeking more out of life. You can be happy with where you are in life and still be working towards more. And when I say more that doesn’t necessarily mean more money. It could mean more life, more love, more acceptance, more growth, more family time etc. It’s whatever it means to you. At this point in my life I’m just letting life flow and allowing my life to come together organically without forcing anything. If you know me personally or you read my one post where I talked about always feeling like I have to have control over everything then you’ll know this concept isn’t easy for me. Yet it truly excites me to know there is so much more out there and if I’m willing to open myself up to receiving, the possibilities could be endless. Now get out there and wander, grow, evolve and let it flow!
XO,
Kathleen
