When things aren't working out it's the Universe trying to save your ass

This time last year I was feeling at a standstill in my business both creatively and mentally. Just as I’m sure many small business owners and makers have experienced I was feeling exhausted, creatively stuck and I could feel myself losing my fire. I even thought once why is the Universe doing this?

Now I realize that the Universe was just trying to save me. That it was a way of testing me to see if I was still as committed to my dreams and passions as I once was. If we don’t tell the Universe what we want then how will she know right? Because If you’re committed to your vision and end goal you will use that drive to push through. And if you’re not committed to your dream anymore, it’s okay for you to outgrow your own dream. You are allowed to evolve and to move onto new endeavors. You are allowed to thrive in other areas if that’s what your journey is supposed to be.

This is why I feel we should actually embrace these times in our lives because it’s really the Universe allowing you to choose and create your path. I also believe they are necessary because they are times of extreme growth. Every next level of our lives will require a different version of us. It’s very true that you do not grow the same way during times of light and happiness as you do during times of darkness and reflection.

One thing I learned through my experience last year is that it’s true when they say you can’t stop a determined woman. I remembered why I even started my business (With Love By KM) and that lit me the F up again 🙌🏻 If you learn anything from this I hope you learn to not give up during the hard times. Growing and evolving to something new is not the same as just giving up because things are uncomfortable. Imagine where you could be a year from now if you don’t give up.

Today my business is kicking serious ass! Had I let that cloud consume me last year I wouldn’t be thriving now. Just the thought of giving up makes me cringe because I know I would have been miserable and filled with regret. I can’t live in that world. I don’t want you to live in that world either. So the next time you are uncomfortable remember you are growing and that the Universe is asking if you are all in.
